From Wednesday, March 18, Hedemora Municipality will be providing distance education in upper secondary school and adult education. This means that students at Martin Koch-gymnasiet, adult education including SFI and Yrkeshögskolan in the municipality of Hedemora should stay at home and not go to the respective School tomorrow, Wednesday.

This is yet another step to limit the spread of infection in the country but it does not mean that students are permitted from school. Education will continue through distance studies. Each student will receive more detailed information from their mentor or class teacher.

Hedemora Municipality follows the guidelines and recommendations of the Public Health Authority. The risk of infection in society is now so high that responsible authorities make the assessment that the following measures can have an effect. It is everyone's responsibility to act so that the risk of infection spreads is limited. Stay at home if you are not healthy, also with minor symptoms.

At present, there are no decisions to close other school and preschools, but the municipality of Hedemora is constantly monitoring the development and is working to deal with such a situation as well.
